You can\xe2\x80\x99t stand things being half done and things being done inefficiently. Your written communication has impeccable grammar and is strategic, concise, and well structured. We assume that you are completely comfortable with computers and are not afraid to learn new software and processes. You are already fluent in Microsoft Office and cloud-based software programs. In addition to this, you have drive, are focussed on results, and are very strategic. Your ability to logically think through our engagement with tenants while considering the many facets of the Residential Tenancies Act is an asset. Requirements: \xc2\xb7 Successful completion of Paralegal Program or Diploma \xc2\xb7 3 years Paralegal (or equivalent) experience \xc2\xb7 University degree or post-secondary education an asset \xc2\xb7 Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and own, reliable vehicle \xc2\xb7 Strong drive to get things done \xc2\xb7 Capable of thinking clearly while multitasking on various projects and ideas \xc2\xb7 Self-starter who excels working individually but enjoys and appreciates being part of a team \xc2\xb7 Meets deadlines without sacrificing quality \xc2\xb7 Must have demonstrated a commitment to leadership \xc2\xb7 Professional in person, in writing, and on the phone; able to communicate with confidence \xc2\xb7 Able to diffuse escalated situations without losing composure \xc2\xb7 MS Office computer skills Example tasks, responsibilities and skills: \xc2\xb7 Handle escalations with excellence from start to finish including: lease breaks, non-payment/late payment of rent, and tenants acting outside of the terms of their lease. \xc2\xb7 Very comfortable with the Residential Tenancies Act and RTDRS processes. \xc2\xb7 Excellent writing skills with strong grammar, spelling, and content accuracy. \xc2\xb7 High ethical standards with the ability to handle sensitive documents with discretion. \xc2\xb7 Draft letters and notices to tenants, lease and contract preparation. \xc2\xb7 Manage site calendars and schedule inspections (Tenant move in and move out) On a day-to-day basis you will be excelling in tenant relations, scheduling, and escalations. You execute our processes efficiently and making sure that all documents and communication our office delivers and receives are taken care of promptly and correctly the first time. Excellence is a MUST. This role is a 40 hr per week position with minimal \xe2\x80\x9con call\xe2\x80\x9d availability for after-hours emergencies. This role serves our team from our office in the West End of Edmonton with additional off-site activities as needed throughout the Greater Edmonton area. Competitive benefits package available.
