A typical day as an Marketing Events Manager might include:

  • Develop technical events plans to meet advertising and sales promotions objectives by preparing effective communication strategies and programs targeted toward a developer audience, supporting in-person and virtual activations with the goal of creating magical memorable experiences.
  • Conduct post-event analysis by measuring and reporting on the impact of each program and events with qualitative and quantitative metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams (e.g., Developer Relations, Engineers) to identify key areas of growth and assist in the development of educational content for platforms such as YouTube and Podcasts to help businesses and developers alike to understand Cohere's mission.
  • Explore, ideate and create event executions, including a one-of-a-kind booth experience that brings to life our AI capabilities in a highly engaging and immersive way.
  • Coordinate with designers and video editors, and design/edit software to create event materials and advertising campaigns appropriate for print or electronic media.
  • Act as a spokesperson for Cohere when hosting developer engagement events, including hackathons, influencer talks, meetups, and conferences.
  • Plan event logistics, including collaboration with internal and external teams, and produce event "briefsaEUR to coordinate all aspects of each event (e.g. agenda, timelines, venues, suppliers, giveaways, booth, staffing and budgets).
  • Prepare presentations, and press releases to build awareness within the developer and Machine Learning communities.
  • Drive negotiations of Cohere's involvement in events (e.g., technical sessions, hackathons, career sessions, recruitment and tickets).
  • Own end-to-end execution of events and work with external agencies where needed to make each event successful.
  • Additional responsibilities as required
You might be a good fit, if you have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field
  • Must have 3+ years of organizing and managing both in-person and virtual events within a high-tech environment and/or AI industry, and owning end-to-end execution.
  • Must have 2+ years of using APIs (Application Programming Interface) and SDKs (Software Development Kit).
  • Must have 2+ years' experience using design software, video-editing software, and/or live streaming software.
  • Demonstrated experience bringing to life complex technical solutions into understandable, engaging and unique event experiences for a technical audience.
  • Extra attention to detail and enjoy managing event logistics.
  • Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment with accountability.
  • Ability to influence, execute and gather support from technical teams to execute the
  • events.
  • Solid understanding of marketing channels for distribution and community marketing.
