LEAP leads the world in the development and sale of cloud-based legal practice management software for small law firms on a Software as a Service (SaaS) model. We employ more than 800 people, have offices in Canada, USA, Australia and the UK with more than 57,000 users using our software worldwide. We are currently hiring for a Senior Marketing Events Manager to join our highly motivated, high velocity and growing team around the world, and based in Toronto, ON.

Our ideal candidate is someone who\xe2\x80\x99s keen to tackle new projects and ideas, has endless curiosity, high energy\xe2\x80\x94and is driven to help generate a positive brand impression for LEAP in the legal tech market through event marketing activities.

Reporting to LEAP\xe2\x80\x99s Director of Marketing and working alongside marketing and sales associates at LEAP and DivorceMate, your immediate responsibilities will include creating awareness and activating events that support brand recognition, customer retention, and new business initiatives for our software products. You will also take the lead on planning and executing LEAP cultural and corporate sustainability events.

This role would suit an individual who is highly motivated, a strategic thinker, creative, efficient, with high attention to detail. The individual must be able to accommodate a flexible work and travel schedule by activating events across Canada. The candidate should be an all-rounder, have strong writing skills, possess exceptional time management and be able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning and execution of end-to-end in-person and virtual events for LEAP and DivorceMate.
  • Conduct analysis and report on success, retention and future opportunities.
  • Create relationships with vendors and stakeholders in the promotional marketing and legal tech industries.
  • Collaborate with the Sales department on event lead volume, database updates, advertising sales outreach, post-campaign follow-up and lead assignment as needed.
  • Coordinate the creation of marketing materials and content for communication to promote brand and sales events.
  • Remain current and knowledgeable of LEAP and DivorceMate products and services in order to create effective marketing narratives and materials.
  • As the Events Manager for LEAP and DivorceMate, you will coordinate all events including tradeshows, webinars and sales seminars with pre-launch and post-marketing logistics, staffing, and marketing materials.
  • Assist Human Resources with planning LEAP staff events and corporate sustainability initiatives.
  • Administrative duties as needed.
These responsibilities may be added to or adjusted at any time in accordance with operational requirements.

Requirements Selection Criteria - Essential
  • Minimum of 10 years in a similar position.
  • Ability to plan and implement simultaneous events with exceptional logistics planning skills.
  • Confidence to take on projects and execute successful on-brand events without being micromanaged.
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams in a hands-on role.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with advertising channels and vendors.
  • Ability and willingness to lift 60lbs; set-up and tear down booth materials with associates; pack and ship materials independently; flexible work and travel schedule.
  • Ability to take initiative, solve problems and meet deadlines with little supervision.
  • Clear and precise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • A creative eye for merchandising an attractive and functional booth presence.
  • Ability to manage a budget and produce quality materials with multiple vendors.
  • Event planning and branded merchandise ordering.
  • Copywriting skills and a creative eye for planning marketing materials.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft products.
  • Strong aptitude for utilizing emerging technologies.
Selection Criteria - Desired
  • Willingness to learn emerging technologies including but not limited to Salesforce, Pardot and Marketing Cloud products.
  • An interest in marketing attribution techniques in order to generate leads and evaluate ROI.
  • An interest in SaaS and digital marketing.
  • A desire to positively impact LEAP\xe2\x80\x99s presence in the legal tech industry.
  • Possess a Class G licence.
  • Physical competence to handle random lifting, pushing and arranging booth materials.
