Here\'s the impact you\'ll make and what we\'ll accomplish together
Reporting to the Director - Brand Marketing and working closely with the Director - Executive Communications, the Senior Marketing Communications Manager will be responsible for developing, maintaining and strategically growing executive leadership presence on social media across platforms such as Instagram and LinkedIn. The candidate must have a strong creative eye, be able to confidently collaborate with executive stakeholders as well as our in-house design team and be meticulously organized.
Here\'s how
Develop the annual strategy for the TELUS CEO\'s social media accounts while establishing goals and benchmarks for each platform
Continuously innovate by improving processes, testing new platform tools, and breaking creative boundaries
Alongside the CEO Communications team, proactively create new content and identify suitable trends in social media
Build and maintain an ongoing content calendar and brief our internal design team to support the creation of compelling content for each platform
Collaborate seamlessly with teams from across the entire business with an especially close linkage to the Social Media Operations team
Share content and updates on the appropriate internal forums to ensure content alignment as it relates to TELUS\' vision and priorities
Implement tactics to help grow an active, engaged community across each platform
Act as a social media expert and leader collaborating with all of the executive communication/social media primes
Qualifications
Here\'s what we\'re looking for
Excellent knowledge of social media platforms from both a creative and functional perspective
Extremely organized with excellent project management skills and the ability to balance competing interests and prioritize effectively
Expertise as it relates to content optimization, including optimal video / image formats for each platform
Strong interest and expertise in analytics within the social world
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills: You love building strong, collaborative working relationships with managers, directors and senior leaders across the entire organization
Are flexible with your time, understanding that executive social media needs can sometimes occur after traditional office hours
An understanding of the executive social media landscape
Required Professional Designation/Certification and Experience
Minimum 4-7 years experience in a marketing, social media, and or digital role within a fast-paced environment, either agency or client-side
Post-graduate certificate/degree/diploma in marketing, communications, social media and or digital marketing
Experience with the creative process is ideal - including developing briefs for video and static content
Experience with executive leaders is considered an asset
Experience with graphic design is considered an asset
