Position Summary The Contract Technical Marketing Writer, reporting to Marketing Manager, will produce well-researched content for online publication. This role will follow writing schedules to complete drafts of content or finished projects within deadlines. The Contract Technical Marketing Writer will utilize industry best practices and familiarity with the organization\'s mission to inspire ideas and content. This role is a part-time contract position. The initial project for this role will encompass a technical written guide on topics related to a game backend. The technical marketing writer will own this project, from informational interviews, independent research, writing, and editing. In addition, this role will encompass product updates on a bimonthly basis. Essential Functions/Responsibilities The Technical Marketing Writer is accountable for the following functions and responsibilities:

  • Write guides, tutorials, and articles to communicate complex, technical information
  • Research and verify technical information
  • Take on a technical written guide to game backend, following an established framework
  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product through interviews
  • Contribute to thought leadership through leadership ghostwriting
  • Communicate product updates through blog posts and video content (writing storyboard/script)
Qualifications/Experience Required
  • 5+ years of technical writing experience
  • Proven ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable
  • An impeccable grasp of the English language
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously
  • A background in software engineering or development is preferred
  • Familiarity with game development is highly desirable
  • Great time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary
