Our IT Team

At Cinesite Vancouver, the IT department is responsible for the security, performance and functionality of all hardware, software and technology-related systems. We source, design and implement solutions to ensure the smoothest possible technology operation for all employees.
The Tech Support will work with the Head of IT and the rest of the IT team to provide the studio with the technical support they need. They will need to juggle multiple priorities, including troubleshooting desktop related issues, providing first line support and keeping others updated with progress.
What you will be doing
  • Create and update tickets and provide data and feedback when issues arise
  • Take the initiative to support others and solve issues
  • Provide technical support to users and the desktop support team as required
  • Ensure all systems\xe2\x80\x99 manuals and relevant documentation are kept updated and organized
  • Identify and prepare infrastructure hardware for disposal when appropriate and ensure it is stripped and secured
  • Ensure software and other relevant licensing agreements are adhered to
  • Work collaboratively with other departments for optimization, solving issues and ensuring continuity
  • Provide technical support to all users
  • Communicate technical information to all levels

What you will bring to the team
  • Efficient time management
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Good knowledge of Linux (CentOS) and Windows
  • Foundational knowledge of Active Directory, FreeIPA, LDAP, SSSD, Kerberos, DNS, DHCP
  • General understanding of cloud resource usage (ie. GCP/AWS/Azure)
  • General understanding of server hardware
  • Good Linux/Windows command line (terminal/cmd) skills
  • Good communication, organizational and project management skills
