TITLE
: TEAM COORDINATOR - CONTRACT POSITION
LOCATION
: In- Person Role (non-negotiable). The Vancouver Sun Run Office - Royal Centre, Downtown Vancouver
REPORTS TO:
Operations & Marketing Manager
JOB PURPOSE:
To liaise with team captains for both 10K Team Division and Youth Team Challenge. Work with office staff to fulfill team category race needs. Respond to all inquiries about teams and event operations. Assist the Operations & Marketing Manager with day-to-day functions of the office and event.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
? Manage, organize, and maintain relevant data for the Open and Youth team divisions using Vancouver Sun Run database and registration system
? Liaise and provide information regarding the event to past team captains
? Research and solicit prospective new teams for Team Division and Youth Team categories
? Data Entry and Create reports using excel spreadsheets
? Assist with phone inquiries and respond to public inquiries
? Issue, monitor and process Invoicing, Special Teams and
? Problem solve team's t-shirt order with the printers
? Support other race needs over race week
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent customer service skills. Computer - must have working knowledge of Office (particularly Excel and Word). Great problem solver and advanced ability to multitask. Quick learner and good under pressure. Must have 3+yrs of customer service, office administration and/or marketing experience.
PERSONALITY:
Friendly, very reliable and most importantly a helpful and positive team-player. Self-driven and very detail oriented. Must also be very organized and works well under pressure.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Seasonal Contract date: Jan 5 - Apr 23, 2026.
2 Week Probationary period from Jan 5-16, 2026. Seasonal contract position with pay rate of $23 per hour. Contractor responsible for filing taxes with CRA. Must work in person at our downtown office and offsite locations (non-negotiable).
Workdays: (5) days per week, Monday to Friday from 8:45am-4:15pm starting January 5, 2026. Mandatory additional 2026 workdays on the following dates (hours tbd): March 7 may possibly be needed pending team status; March 22, March 29 and April 5 full days offsite at the printer house in Burnaby; and April 10 evening. Must also be able to work long hours as needed during Race Week (April 13-17), Race Weekend (April 18 & 19) and Race Wrap Up (April 20-23).
