Reporting to the Tax Director, the Tax Analyst will assist the tax department in all tax functions as needed, primarily tax compliance. The Tax Analyst role will support a dynamic tax department that adds value to the overall business through planning and strategic collaboration throughout the organization. This role supports a hybrid work environment.


  • Ensure the compliance of the different companies of the group with the Canadian/US legislation regarding income tax and various taxes.
  • Prepare the tax returns of the Canadian companies and coordinate the preparation of the returns of the American companies.
  • Calculate the annual tax provision of the group companies.
  • Planning to optimize any tax benefits and/or credits for the companies and their shareholders.
  • Provide support during tax audits by various levels of government. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure sales tax compliance for the companies.
  • Ensure proper accounting of tax related transactions.
  • All other related tasks. Qualifications


Qualifications
  • CPA, CA designation and advanced training in taxation (Asset)
  • At least 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a similar position in a company.
  • Experience with CaseWare/Taxprep considered and asset
  • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Autonomous.
  • Bilingualism (English and French - Considered an Asset)
