TALENT ACQUISITION MANAGER

JANA\xe2\x80\x99s Talent Acquisition Manager plays a pivotal role in managing our full life-cycle recruiting process and advising our Hiring Managers on recruitment strategies for attracting, selecting and retaining top talent. You will lead the Talent Acquisition Program, supporting JANA\xe2\x80\x99s future growth through managing full lifecycle recruiting and advising management on finding ways to attract, select, and retain top talent. You will build JANA\xe2\x80\x99s talent pipeline by communicating what makes JANA an employer of choice, managing the end-to-end hiring process, and incorporating strategies to source passive candidates.

Reporting to our Vice President, Human Resources, you will support Human Resources functions, including talent acquisition, compensation, training and supporting our employee culture initiatives.

Responsibilities

As the Talent Acquisition Manager you\xe2\x80\x99ll be an expert at finding creative ways to source exceptional talent for us. You will also be involved in some generalist HR responsibilities, under the guidance of our Vice President, Human Resources.

Recruitment Responsibilities:
  • Manage recruiting processes, posting positions, resume reviews, facilitating interviews, managing the candidate pipeline.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to write job postings/ job descriptions for current openings.
  • Promote and coordinate internal job postings and candidate referral program.
  • Interview and evaluate candidates during various hiring stages.
  • Proactively build, nurture and engage talent communities within and outside of JANA
  • Know your market - where talent and skills are available, and where to find quality candidates, providing market intelligence and insight to develop sourcing and recruitment strategies
  • Support Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and understand the positive impact it has on company culture.
  • Extend and negotiate compensation packages, manage subsequent offers or contract generation.
  • Conduct work references and other required background checks.
  • Propose and implement ongoing innovations and improvements to recruitment process.
  • Manage independent contractor acquisition, off-shore and near-shore support, and any recruitment within the U.S.
  • Implement and administer programs to help further improve the employee onboarding experience, including training and providing support to new employees.
  • Ensure recruitment-related compliance with provincial and federal legislation and HR best practices.
  • Support other projects and programs in Human Resources.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Undergraduate degree required, preferably in Business or Human Resources
  • 5+ years of experience with technical recruitment, proven experience acquiring passive candidates
  • Human Resources experience, preferably in a generalist capacity
  • Solid understanding of full lifecycle recruiting with candidate relationship management skills.
  • Experience with campus recruitment, coop placements, and student hiring within the Technology field
  • Experience with recruitment in the U.S. and employers of record, an asset
  • Strong Talent Scout capabilities to find top talent by leveraging social networks, research tools, as well as other creative techniques, along with developed relationships with external recruiters.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask, use sound judgment and prioritize.
  • Proven history of meeting objectives and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, confident and able to work effectively with little supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with HRIS/Applicant Tracking Systems
