Responsibilities

PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Talent Acquisition Coordinator supports the Talent Acquisition team with administrative work related to the recruitment and selection process with a strong emphasis on attention to detail while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. The Coordinator will provide pre-employment support like occupation-related testing, job requisition maintenance, department reporting and employment references to ensure a smooth recruitment and selection process for new hires.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provides administrative and clerical support for Talent Acquisition by creating and distributing job postings, which includes external advertising, monitors closing dates of recruitment competitions and summarizing applicants;
Coordinates and facilitates pre-employment testing;
Manages and creates competition files and recruitment documents pertaining to recruitment competitions.
Organizes and develops correspondence letters, including offer letters when required;
Develops and distributes vacancy progress report and distributes according to schedule;
Completes pre-employment reference checks for high volume recruitment initiatives;
Schedules and arranges interviews with applicants and the selection panel;
Supports the management of electronic employee files, ensures filing is up-to-date and provides support with employee file requests, as required.
Provides administrative support to the Talent Acquisition team, which includes conducting recruitment market research, coordinating job events, attending as TransLink representative for external job fairs or presentation when needed.
Applies knowledge of organizational policies and collective agreement provisions when responding to employee queries and seeks clarification and/or guidance as required.
Assists with implementation of new HR programs and initiatives, which may include coordinating materials, organizing meetings and assisting with facilitating sessions.
Supports team and special events planning and execution.
Qualifications
------------------
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
The competencies for the position would typically be acquired through completion of a Human Resource Management program, plus a minimum of two (2) years' recent related experience in a human resource and/or talent acquisition environment, giving preference to exposure in a unionized environment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Solid working knowledge and understanding of human resource concepts, principles, theories and practices.
Basic understanding of employment law in British Columbia
Intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft programs including Word, PowerPoint and Excel and experience with Human Resource Information Systems.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Solid time management skills and demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, prioritize, multi-task, and able to meet multiple deadlines.
Strong organizational and analytical skills, to effectively research, coordinate and, analyze, a variety of information.
Solid problem solving and decision-making skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and accountability to deliver.
Demonstrated discretion and confidentiality is essential to be able to assess requests for private information and to be able to determine when escalation is required.

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. Rate of Pay
---------------
The salary for this position ranges from $64,000 - $96,000 per annum. Actual salary offered will be based on education, experience, skills, and qualifications as they relate to the role.
