Libra Accountax Services, a long-standing and growing accounting practice in Etobicoke/Toronto, is seeking an experienced T1/T2 Tax Tutor to help train and mentor our newer team members. This role is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys teaching, breaking down complex topics, and guiding junior staff toward accuracy and confidence in tax preparation.

Job Responsibilities

Provide structured and on-demand training sessions on T1 (Personal) and T2 (Corporate) tax preparation. Teach employees how to accurately prepare returns using CanTax software. Incorporate YouMadeMe into the teaching process to give trainees supportive, constructive feedback. Explain key CRA rules, compliance requirements, and updates for both personal and corporate tax. Review trainees' work and provide guidance to help improve accuracy and efficiency. Develop simple training guides, checklists, or examples to assist newer employees. Be available for periodic Q&A support, both scheduled and as needed.
Qualifications

Minimum 3-5 years experience preparing both T1 and T2 tax returns in a Canadian professional environment. Strong understanding of CRA requirements, deductions, credits, small business filings, and corporate tax fundamentals. Proficiency with CanTax software. Previous tutoring, training, mentoring, or supervisory experience is a strong asset. Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts. Detail-oriented, patient, and comfortable working with beginners.
