Singapore Math Tutor - Part-time (Richmond Hill / Toronto)

What We're Looking For

A dedicated and knowledgeable tutor who can teach Singapore Math concepts to students aged 6-14 in a fun, structured, and effective way. This is a

part-time, in-person weekend position.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging lessons based on Singapore Math curriculum to small groups or individual students. Assess students' current math skills and customize instruction to meet their needs. Teach core problem-solving strategies, mental math techniques, and model drawing. Track student progress, provide feedback, and adjust lesson plans as needed. Maintain a positive and encouraging classroom environment to foster confidence and curiosity. Communicate with parents regarding student performance and learning goals. Contribute to curriculum planning or enrichment materials as needed.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of Singapore Math methods and concepts. Experience teaching or tutoring elementary or middle school mathematics (2 years preferred). Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and patiently to children. A passion for education and a talent for inspiring students to enjoy math. Teaching certification or math education background is an asset, but not required.
