Saltworks is looking for a System Administrator to join our multi-disciplinary team. This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). Saltworks Technologies is an innovation-driven cleantech company located in Richmond, BC. We invent, design, and build advanced lithium recovery and desalination water treatment plants for global customers while also researching and developing next-generation technologies. Our customers lead the way in sustainability, with our technologies at the forefront. Our company is growing rapidly with high demand for our solutions. We have a number of confirmed projects, with more to come, and are looking for skilled professionals to expand our team!

Main Responsibilities:

• Support company-wide IT infrastructure during office hours (Mon to Fri, 8 AM to 4:30 PM) and occasionally after hours as required.
• Coordinate and manage our external IT managed services provider
• Help install and configure laptops, desktops, servers, virtual machines, software, networks, and printers.
• Manage special projects as they arise e.g., upgrading legacy systems, security improvements, software installation, etc.
• Organize, purchase, and maintain inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
• Maintain documentation for systems and procedures.
• Administer IT policies.

You will be a great fit if you have:

• 3+ years of proven IT experience in a multi-user/office environment including having played a key role in implementing projects such as network upgrades, server installations/migrations, etc.
• Relevant degree, diploma, or IT certifications.
• Coding and database skills, especially PHP, Python, and SQL Server.
• Problem-solving and hands-on troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, thoroughness, and follow-through.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to take initiative, organize, prioritize, and maintain a high quality of work.
• Located in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia or a strong desire to permanently relocate.
