About the role




You enjoy working in a state-of-the-art environment using agile and innovating working methods? We are the company for you. You have extensive experience in virtualisation and automation administration? You are autonomous, organized and rigorous in your work? You can anticipate problems and are sensitive to impacts and risks? Then you are the System Administrator we are looking for to work in our dynamic IT team in Saint-Hyacinthe. Reporting to the Manager, MS Services & VI, you will be responsible for ensuring that the infrastructure is at its BEST in terms of performance and stability. More specifically, your primary responsibility will be to ensure a high level of reliability of the technology, operating systems, virtualization platforms and related services, in order to meet current and future business needs. Your role:

• Perform daily operations (alert and problem resolution, physical and virtual infrastructure management, patching, capacity and performance management).
• Participate in the team’s daily activities.
• Help to implement the infrastructure evolution plan.
• Participate in the automation of the team's operational activities.
• Develop and maintain system baseline/hardening and procedures.
• Ensure a high level of efficiency of virtual infrastructures.
• Maintain strict team standards to ensure continuity of operations.

Qualifications

• College diploma in Computer Science
• 7-10 years of experience as a system administrator
• Very good knowledge of VMware systems and related management products (vROps, vRO, vRA, …)
• Knowledge of scripting (Power Shell, Python, Ansible, …)
• Knowledge of monitoring systems (Grafana, vROps, CLM, Kibana, …)
• Knowledge of network services
• Knowledge of Cisco server equipment (UCS, Fabric Interconnect, …)
• Knowledge of packet analysis with Wireshark and Netmon
• Knowledge of ITIL processes
• Experience working with Agile methodology (DevOps, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, …)
• Analytical mind and acute sense of diagnosis
• Must be bilingual (English-French)
• Availability to work on call in rotation
