About the role

You are autonomous, organized and rigorous in your work? You can anticipate problems and are sensitive to impacts and risks? Then you are the Senior Windows System Administrator we are looking for to work in our dynamic IT team in Saint-Hyacinthe. Reporting to the Manager, you will participate in projects of great value to Intact and will be a pillar for other members of the team and for the organization. More specifically, your primary responsibility will be to ensure a high level of reliability of the technology, operating systems, virtualization platforms and different middleware products, in order to meet current and future business needs. Your role:

  • Carry out innovative projects and initiatives to support Intact's mission.
  • Develop and help to implement the infrastructure evolution plan.
  • Support the team and handle major incidents.
  • Implement and maintain the various middleware products required by the company.
  • Support operational activities related to Windows, AD and other platforms.
  • Participate in the planning of projects and initiatives involving the Windows platform.
  • Develop and maintain system baseline/hardening.
  • Install patches and updates to operating systems.
  • Maintain strict team standards to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Develop, implement, support and document automated processes to increase platform management efficiency.





Qualifications




  • College diploma in Computer Science
  • 10 years of experience as a system administrator and 5 as a senior expert
  • Very good knowledge of the systems and protocols for Windows, Active Directory, ADFS, GPO, DHCP, DNS, LDAP, SMB, NTLM, SAML, …
  • Very good scripting skills (Power Shell and VB script)
  • Good knowledge of log analysis and monitoring tools
  • Knowledge of SCCM and SCOM systems
  • Knowledge of packet analysis with Wireshark and Netmon
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes
  • Experience working with Agile methodology
  • Analytical mind and acute sense of diagnosis
  • Must be bilingual (English-French)
  • Availability to work on call in rotation with the other members of the team
