The Systems administrator reports to the Manager, IT Operations, and is responsible, as part of the IT Support and Infrastructure team, for providing networking services and first line support services to the CCC users. These services are mainly composed of the implementation and day-to-day operational support services of the IT network agreements. On occasion, the System Administrator will be responsible for general Help Desk duties and project-based assignments as specified by the Manager, IT Operations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Acts primarily as a level 2 support individual and can be involved in level 1 trouble ticket calls as needed.
  • Functions as the backup Technical Support Analyst for the Helpdesk services.
  • Participates in the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of the IT infrastructure and end-user devices.
  • Develops and maintains technical documentation
  • Manages Active Directory including account creation, account administration, security groups and distribution lists.
  • Participates in the development of the IT decisions on testing, installation and support of new infrastructure equipment or services.
  • Provides support to the senior IT Cloud specialist, and IT Cyber Security specialty as needed.
  • Assists with maintaining compliance with the organization's IT Security policies and procedures for network services.
  • Maintains an updated list of all CCC's electronic devices.
  • Prepares and deploys electronic devices using CCC's standard configurations.
  • Manages IT equipment loans and setup and sustains IT Client network support services and coverage according to Service Level Agreements with the organization and its clients.
  • Interacts with vendors as required regarding their hardware, software, and services offerings.
  • Interacts with staff at all levels to provide support to incidents and requests.
  • Provides onsite support to staff including the installation and support of AV Conferencing equipment.
  • Adheres to the CCC Policy Suite and related procedures and instructions.
Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field or an equivalent acceptable combination of education, training, and/ or related work experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual imperative: B-A-B.
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Minimum 5 years of recent experience working in IT.
  • Minimum 5 years of IT Help Desk methodologies and processes.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory or Azure AD.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with Microsoft 365 platform including Exchange Online, Endpoint Manager, Defender, SharePoint/OneDrive, etc.
  • Minimum 1 years working experience in the IT and Cyber security operations.
  • Experience in the provision of technical support and assistance to both clients and technical support personnel.
  • Experience working in a small team.
  • Experience in image deployment.
  • Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 / 11.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell Scripting is an asset.
  • Knowledge of iOS operating system is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server technologies and an asset.

Hybrid work environment - 3 days in office.
