Position: System Administrator / Network Administrator
Location: Downtown Toronto, ON (Onsite)

They are looking for an individual who can fulfill a combination of System and Network Administration responsibilities. In this role, the incumbent will provide support with Active Directory GPO, user administration, and configuration of network gears. The role involves managing environments across Windows server, Linux servers and Virtual environments, network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi, VPN and application servers (hardware, virtual, and hyper-converged infrastructure). This is a permanent role within a great organization with a fantastic team.
Responsibilities:

- Maintain and ensure compliance with our security policies
- Identify any risks to production systems integrity and coordinate remediation projects with other team members
- Standardize and optimize workstation, render, and server deployment, and deploy and maintain systems monitoring
- Maintain organized cabling throughout our server rooms, telco closets and datacenters, including proper labeling and documentation of equipment, connections, and configurations
- Keep up to date on new technology, standards, protocols, and tools in areas relevant to the rapidly changing digital environment
- Mentor other team members and encourage growth through collaboration on key projects

What you bring:

- Prior experience as a systems administrator in a Linux and Windows environment
- Excellent customer service and proven communication skills, team player
- Knowledge of cloud-based distributed server/storage and data transport technologies
- Thorough systems engineering experience with IT infrastructure including but not limited to: network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi, VPN must have); Application servers (hardware, virtual, and hyper-converged infrastructure); Active Directory or related directory services administration
- Scripting capabilities in Bash, Python, and/or C++ are preferred (an asset)
- Additionally, candidates with prior experience in the motion picture or animation industry, as well as MPAA related security practices, is a bonus but not required
