As a member of our Technology team, your responsibilities will revolve around troubleshooting software and hardware issues. We're looking for an individual that has a passion for technology and is always willing to learn and grow their skills.   • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve software, and system hardware issues
  • Collaborate with development and network administration; and be a contributing member to the overall systems architecture
  • Develop and implement tools for the company and technology team that interface with our systems and services
  • Participate in on-call rotation
What makes you awesomePrimary Requirements:
  • Proven success as a UNIX or Linux systems administrator with at least 10 years' experience in: Scripting/programming (Perl, BASH); administrating mail/web/DNS/Radius/LDAP/Webservers; virtualization
  • Excellent programming skills in Perl and BASH with at least 10 years' experience
  • Proven success as a Database Server Administrator (Mysql, Postgresql) including writing and understanding complex queries and query optimization in: managing data replication; optimizing SQL queries and tables; monitoring, managing, and maintaining database systems
  • Knowledge of IP networking
  • Passion for technology and are driven to learn independently
  • Ability to work as part of the team
  • Process documentation experience (eg: writing knowledge base articles)
  • Methodical problem solving/troubleshooting mindset
  • Experience troubleshooting PC/Server hardware
Skills and experiences considered an asset:
  • Programming/scripting experience in PHP, Python
  • Familiar with network monitoring systems (eg: Graylog, Zabbix)
  • Experience with Hypervisors (XenServer, Proxmox, Openstack)
  • Experience with NFS, iSCSI, ZFS, Gluster, CEFS
  • Experience with webhosting environments
  • Experience with ISP and telecommunications products
  • Experience with GITLAB and Docker
