The ESG Strategy and reporting team is a committed and creative team that contributes to the company\xe2\x80\x99s success by further positioning CAE as a sustainability leader. By being part of the ESG Strategy and reporting team, you will act as an integral part of CAE\xe2\x80\x99s ESG journey.

You will contribute to strengthening relationships between stakeholders and promote CAE\xe2\x80\x99s brand image as a socially responsible company worldwide.

You will create value for the company by managing one of the identified top enterprise risks (i.e. ESG risks) and help CAE better answer the disclosure requirements of our key stakeholders: investors, shareholders, government, customers, regulators and the media.

You will influence disclosures in terms of ESG data, which inform the scores attributed by rating agencies (ISS, Sustainalytics, MSCI, S&P, etc), therefore influencing the investment decisions of their customers (portfolio managers, institutional investors, etc.).

You will also monitor the developments in the ever-changing regulatory environment to ensure CAE\xe2\x80\x99s disclosures are compliant with new regulations and ensure that CAE\xe2\x80\x99s reporting is aligned with the market\xe2\x80\x99s expectations and the various industry frameworks (SASB, TCFD, GRI, UN SDGs, ISSB etc.).

You will lead the development of CAE\xe2\x80\x99s most important ESG disclosure: CAE\xe2\x80\x99s annual activity and CSR report \xe2\x80\x93 the main source of information for investors, rating agencies, shareholders, governments, customers, employees and the media.

Reporting to CAE\xe2\x80\x99s Director, Sustainability, ESG Strategy and Reporting, the ESG Strategy and reporting Lead supports the Director in:

  • Building and managing the deployment and the monitoring of CAE\xe2\x80\x99s ESG strategy, including the development of the operating model, of the associated management system and progress dashboards, and the integration throughout the company
  • Identifying, gathering, analyzing and influencing ESG data and preparing content for CAE\xe2\x80\x99s annual ESG reporting and other public disclosure-related reports, ratings, and surveys (e.g., GRI, SASB, UNGCP, TCFD, CDP, MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS, DJSI, etc.) up to the best standards and continuously enhancing CAE\xe2\x80\x99s ESG data collection processes
Your missions will also be:
  • Identify and communicate emerging trends and sustainability initiatives, partnering with strategic internal and external business partners and maintain strategic watch over ESG-related regulatory developments and reporting requirements in the various jurisdictions in which CAE operates.
  • Provide analytical support, market research and metrics, supporting strategic initiatives.
  • Build and present detailed project plans for sustainability initiatives.
  • Proactively support external publications, panels and conferences reporting on CAE\xe2\x80\x99s ESG performance to support CAE\xe2\x80\x99s reputation and to position CAE as an ESG leader.
  • Support other internal ESG stakeholders in the development of engaging and transparent communications which support CAE\xe2\x80\x99s ESG agenda.
  • Prepare materials for senior-management governance such as the Corporate Social Responsibility committee and ad hoc risk governance meetings, including work plan activities, organizing meeting agenda and materials and providing updates on CSR activities.
  • Develop high-level strategic communications and reports for the Executive Management Committee, the Board and its Committees, and other management governance committees and prepare ad hoc reports, analyses, assessments, and other information for senior management, as requested.
  • Support CAE\'s volunteering program and CAE\'s community involvement including donations and sponsorships.
Our ideal candidate has/is:
  • Foundational understanding or experience with ESG topics and ESG-related standards and frameworks including GRI, SASB, UNGCP, ISSB and TCFD and third party ESG surveys and/or questionnaires (CDP, S&P CSA, DJSI, ISS, MSCI, Sustainalytics, etc.) with five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in the related field.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business administration, commerce, sustainability management or environmental science, public relations management, law.
  • Strong understanding and experience with developing detailed project plans, process and controls including those over data integrity and reporting/disclosure.
  • Ability to build strong relationships, internally and externally with a wide range of stakeholders with an entrepreneurial mindset to influence others, drive change and make an impact.
  • Energetic, continuous learner with superior analytical/strategic thinking skills.
  • Autonomous, highly organized and results oriented with an ability to show initiative.
  • Bilingual with verbal and written communications skills in English and French and the ability to convey messages to different types and levels of audience through clear and concise writing.
  • Energized to work in fast-paced environment, ability to manage several priorities and meet strict deadlines.
