Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Japanese cuisine, particularly in sushi preparation, and will be dedicated to delivering high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards. Duties

Prepare and present sushi dishes according to traditional methods and restaurant recipes. Ensure the freshness and quality of all ingredients used in food preparation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Assist in menu development by providing input on new sushi offerings and seasonal ingredients. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and food handling practices.

Skills

Proficient in serving, food preparation, cooking, and food service techniques. Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Previous restaurant experience with a focus on kitchen operations is highly desirable. Experience in the food industry, particularly in sushi or Asian cuisine, is a plus. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities are essential for success in this role. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to continuously improve skills in meal preparation.
