We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a particular focus on sushi and Japanese cuisine. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that delight our customers while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation.
Duties
Prepare and serve a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, ensuring quality and consistency.
Handle food safely and in accordance with health regulations to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Maintain inventory of sushi ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality at all times.
Assist in the training of kitchen staff on proper food handling techniques and sushi preparation methods.
Stay updated on current food trends and continuously seek ways to enhance the menu offerings.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment, specifically within the food industry.
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation.
Knowledge of food safety practices and handling procedures.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
