Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and handling, particularly in the art of sushi making. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant's standards while ensuring food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.

Duties

Prepare and assemble sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and creativity. Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored to maintain quality. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, following strict food safety guidelines. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Assist in menu planning and development by providing input on new sushi offerings. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management. Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the food service environment.

Experience

Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of food handling techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen operations. Familiarity with various types of sushi, ingredients, and Japanese cuisine is essential. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Requirement:

We are looking for a committed individual who is seeking for a long-term, permanent position and is willing to stay with the company for at least 1-2 years.
