Duties
Prepare and assemble sushi dishes with precision and artistry, ensuring presentation meets quality standards
Handle all aspects of food preparation, including slicing, rolling, and plating sushi items
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
Assist in the development of new sushi recipes and menu items in collaboration with the culinary team
Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients to preserve freshness and prevent contamination
Serve guests with professionalism, providing excellent customer service during meal service
Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling, cooking, and sanitation practices
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and serving within a restaurant or food industry setting
Strong knowledge of sushi making techniques, including knife skills and ingredient pairing
Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Excellent attention to detail in meal presentation and quality control
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Good communication skills for effective teamwork and guest interaction
Previous kitchen or restaurant experience preferred but not required for entry-level candidates with a passion for Japanese cuisine
