Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing authentic sushi and other Japanese dishes, ensuring high-quality food presentation and adherence to food safety standards.

Preparing food materials and making various types of sushi. We are willing to train people who have a passion for Japanese cuisine, especially sushi. With the high demand for Sushi Chef, this position has many development opportunities.

Duties

Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards Ensure all food preparation meets safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area Assist in menu development by suggesting new sushi rolls and seasonal offerings Manage ingredient inventory, ensuring freshness and proper storage of seafood, rice, vegetables, and other supplies Serve dishes promptly and professionally to guests, maintaining excellent customer service standards Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during busy service hours Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food handling protocols at all times

Skills

Proven experience in serving, food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or food industry setting Strong knowledge of sushi making techniques, meal preparation, and food safety practices Excellent food service skills with an emphasis on presentation and quality control Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members Familiarity with kitchen equipment used in sushi preparation and general restaurant operations Prior restaurant experience preferred but not required for highly motivated candidates eager to learn

Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour
