Role Overview
As a Help Desk Technician, you will:
Provide first-level technical support, troubleshooting, and resolving issues to ensure seamless operations.
Triage tickets and prioritize issues based on urgency and impact.
Engage with clients by phone and email to gather information and provide updates.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Document technical procedures and solutions to enhance organizational knowledge.
Participate in on-call rotation to provide server and network support outside of regular business hours on a best-effort basis.
Qualifications
Computer-related diploma from a recognized technical school.
Network+ certification or equivalent preferred.
Microsoft, CompTIA, and/or other industry certifications, or willingness to obtain certification.
Proven experience in technical support or a similar role.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
Proficiency in relevant software, tools, and methodologies for technical support.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
Canadian Driver's License, with 6+ years driving experience in Canada.
