Help us raise the expectation of what an agriculture company can be and grow your career with Nutrien.The Human Resources Solution Center supports over 30,000 employees globally in areas related to benefits and pension administration, payroll and time keeping, and record keeping and reporting.Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the payroll supervisor will oversee and support the payroll team and be responsible for first point of contact for payroll inquiries around payroll processing, transactions and data entry work within the payroll department. This role's primary responsibility will be to oversee the day-to-day activities of the payroll department and management of that team while maintaining a culture of quality, accountability and data integrity working alongside key stakeholders to meet customer expectations within agreed service levels.What you will do:

• Responsible for the day-to-day operations, deadlines, overseeing accuracy and timelines
• Able to process end-to-end production of multiple payrolls, including Board of Directors
• Support testing concerning payroll system updates
• Deliver Payroll reconciliations and reporting requirements, as required
• Supervise, mentor, and train Payroll Administrators/Coordinators/Analysts
• Engage with members of the team about their individual performance, career aspirations and development needs
• Manage year end processes (T4, T4A, W2, TD4)
• Participate in continuous improvement activities, such as process documentation, updating policies and procedures, identifying opportunities for improvement, efficiencies, participating in problem solving, and root causes analysis
• Strong Knowledge of Federal, State, and Provincial legislations to ensure compliance
• Lead by example on all areas of company Change Management, Health, Safety and Security initiatives

What you will bring:

• 6+ years Payroll Experience
• Supervisor experience preferred
• Working experience with SAP payroll / Success Factor is an asset
• A strong commitment to ongoing personal and team development
• Competency in supporting / leading multiple projects simultaneously with a strong results orientation
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong results and goal orientation
• Microsoft Office is required
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent ability to organize and plan effectively to meet both short- and long-range goals and objectives
• Demonstrated strong customer service skills, leadership ability, and decision-making skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working with multiple functions and in a multi-tasking, deadline oriented, team environment
• Ability to establish an environment where the team feels inspired and motivated to achieve
• Solution-oriented with demonstrated ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, peers, and team members
