Position Summary
The Supervised Senior ABA Therapist plays a pivotal role in implementing, supervising, and monitoring individualized ABA programs under the guidance of a Registered Behaviour Analyst (Autonomous Practice). This role includes clinical service delivery, staff mentorship, and caregiver support. The therapist ensures ethical and data-driven practices aligned with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) Standards of Practice.
Education and Clinical Requirements
Education
Applicants must have completed a Bachelor's degree and be currently enrolled in or formally accepted into a Master's-level program in Applied Behaviour Analysis from a recognized and approved post-secondary institution.
Completion of a Master's program that meets the educational requirements for Supervised Practice under the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) for registration as a Behaviour Analyst is considered a strong asset.
Clinical Experience
Minimum of 2 years of direct experience delivering applied behaviour analysis services to individuals with autism and diverse learning needs. Experience must include:
- Implementing ABA-based behaviour support plans
- Conducting skill assessments
- Collecting and analyzing behavioural data
- Participating in team-based treatment planning
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Service Delivery
Implement individualized, evidence-based ABA interventions
Conduct skill assessments and analyze Behavioural data
Supervise ABA sessions in-centre, in-home, or community settings
Adjust interventions based on client data and needs
Conduct caregiver training and ABA-based family support
Cover client sessions during staff absences
Treatment Planning & Oversight
Participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary meetings
Assist in writing treatment goals and intake assessments
Communicate program material/equipment needs
Maintain accurate records (Jane.App, Motivity)
Uphold ethical billing practices
Supervision & Staff Support
Mentor and coach Supervised ABA Therapists
Train staff using Behavioural Skills Training (BST)
Conduct session observations and provide feedback
Monitor and assess staff performance
Delegate clinical tasks as appropriate
Parent Coaching & Communication
Lead parent coaching sessions
Provide regular client progress updates
Maintain respectful and professional communication with families
Collaboration & Administration
Attend and facilitate clinical and team meetings
Respond to emails and manage scheduling adjustments
Support daily operational procedures at the clinic
Schedule Requirements
Up to 20 hours per week
A minimum of 2 evenings/week and 4 weekend days/month
Flexibility to accommodate additional evening/weekend hours as needed
Compensation & Benefits
$35.00/hour starting wage
4% vacation pay per pay period
