Job Description


Columbia Basin Trust is seeking a Summer Student to join our Communications team from May through August 2023 in one of our four offices: Castlegar, Cranbrook, Golden or Nakusp. If you are self-motivated, results-oriented and have strong communication skills, we want to hear from you! Reporting to the Manager, Communications you will:

  • Assist with the development and implementation of communications and marketing plans.
  • Draft stories, web and ad copy, social media content, presentations and more for internal and external purposes.
  • Assist with design and development of graphics for web, social and advertising.
  • Assist with web, digital and social media projects and campaigns.
  • Provide administrative and office support
You are passionate about growing a career in communications and marketing, are familiar with the Basin area, and are comfortable navigating a digital and online working environment. You\'re great at communicating verbally and in writing and can comfortably research a variety of topics. You must be a post-secondary student, ideally enrolled in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism or business, and returning to school in the next academic year. To provide and maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, the Trust has a COVID-19 Vaccination Policy that requires all employees to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19.
