Sub System Launch Lead Engineer \xe2\x80\x93 automotive interior components

You will love working as a Sub System Launch Lead in Windsor, Ontario.

In this exciting Sub System Launch Lead role, you will be in charge of technical program management a vehicle line. You will serve as the key point of contact between the design team and all other functional areas such as vehicle program management and engineering.Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• At least 8 years of engineering experience with an emphasis on interior components at either an automotive OEM or an automotive supplier.
• General knowledge of tooling and manufacturing processes including molding, stamping, welding, brazing, machining, casting and coatings.
• Strong leader with entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to sell ideas to all stakeholders.
• Basic financial understanding with the ability to maintain program budget.
• Basic knowledge of Requirements Management / Change Management basics.
• Must be able to lead and manage suppliers.
• Proven capability to develop parts and systems in co-design with third parties (Tier 1s).
• Ability to review and apply component and system Design Failure mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and DVP&Rs.
• Experience in DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) proactive and / or reactive quality tools a plus.
• Ability and knowledge to create effective presentations.
• High level of experience with MS Office tools.
• Ability to effectively operate both independently and as part of a team.
