Job Summary

We are seeking 8 experienced Journeyperson Scaffolders for our Norman Wells site located in the Northwest Territories. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing and dismantling the scaffolds required onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes site drawings and written instructions to select materials required to set ground levels for scaffolds.
• Installs steel pipes, support braces and clamps to form bases for scaffolds.
• Lifts and positions sections of scaffolding and bolts pipes together to build scaffolding as per site requirements.
• Places planks over horizontal bars to create platforms.
• Monitors levels in scaffolding structures to ensure stability.
• Dismantles scaffolding at the completion of a job.
• Experience operating a Telehandler is preferred.
• May perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an industrial construction setting.
• Committed to working in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ability to work outdoors in physically demanding conditions.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills required.
• Good analytical ability and manual dexterity.
• Successful candidates are required to have valid driver's license with clean driver's abstract.
• Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
• Must be willing to complete all require pre-access training identified at the time of hire.

Trade Certification Requirements:

• Registered Scaffold Journeyperson through the SAIA program is strongly preferred.

Work Conditions:

• Shift Rotation: 15/13.
• Working 10 hours per day.
• Charter flight from Edmonton provided.
• Camp accommodations provided.
• Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Covid Vaccinations Requirements are currently in place.
