Through RAC Group employees are encouraged to keep advancing themselves through lifelong learning, and employees are actively encouraged to advance themselves within their career.Position Summary: RAC is seeking Journeyman Steamfitter / Pipefitter trades for short term work in the Fort McMurray region. Camp accommodations, meals and transportation to site will be provided.

• Salary: As per Collective Agreement
• Length of Employment - based upon client's needs.
• Type of Work - Oil and Gas refinery / Maintenance work
• Hours of Work: 10 hour shifts (Overtime as per Union Agreement)
• Various shifts ( 4 on 3 off, 10 on 4 off and 11 on 3 off )
• Camp available ( will need to check out on days off )

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Must be compliant for Drug and Alcohol screening
• Online company and Client mandated training
• Must have valid Photo identification to gain access on site

Qualifications:

• Current IRATA certification (min Level One)
• Alberta Journeyman Certificate or Interprovincial Red Seal Interprovincial Red Seal
• Minimum 1 year experience on an industrial or construction site (Preferred) Preference will be given to applicants that live in the Fort McMurray region.
• Half Mask/Full face Fit Test (3M)
• CSTS
• OSSA Regional/BSO/CSO
• OSSA Fall Protection
• OSSA Confined Space Training

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
• Maintain and repair pressurized piping systems.
• Hydro test and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required.
• Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications (English).
• Ensure work areas are kept clean and free of hazards.
• Ensure tools and equipment are returned to job boxes and tool cribs.
• Report all incidents, "near miss" incidents including damages/non-damage, injury/non-injury incidents.
• Review and participate in the preparation of safe work practices/procedures as required.
• Physically capable of performing all tasks required of a Steamfitter/Pipefitter.

Other tasks and labor duties as required on the jobsite.Physical Requirements:

• Stand or walk for long periods of time
• Ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 25kg
• Climbing stairs/ladders regularly
• Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects and sharp hand tools
