JVD Installations Inc. provides skilled labor services within the turnaround, maintenance, and capital projects industry. We are looking for experienced, knowledgeable, innovative and safety focused individuals to join our team.

Job Summary

We are seeking 1 experienced Third Year Apprentice Scaffolder for our Norman Wells site located in the Northwest Territories. The successful candidates will be responsible for assisting with installing and dismantling the scaffolds required onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Understand site drawings and written instructions to select materials required to set ground levels for scaffolds.
• Assist with installing steel pipes, supporting braces, and clamping to form bases for scaffolds.
• Assists with lifting and positioning sections of scaffolding and bolting pipes together to build scaffolding as per site requirements.
• Placing planks over horizontal bars to create platforms.
• Assists with dismantling scaffolding at the completion of a job.
• Experience operating a Telehandler is preferred.
• May perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an industrial construction setting
• Committed to working in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ability to work outdoors in physically demanding conditions.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills required.
• Good analytical ability and manual dexterity.
• Successful candidates are required to have valid driver's license with clean driver's abstract.
• Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
• Must be willing to complete all require pre-access training identified at the time of hire.

Trade Certification Requirements:

• Must be a registered Scaffold Apprentice through the SAIA program.

Work Conditions:

• Shift Rotation: 15/13.
• Working 10 hours per day.
• Charter flight from Edmonton provided.
• Camp accommodations provided.
• Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Covid Vaccinations Requirements are currently in place.
