Position Overview
We are seeking an
efficient, organized, and collaborative Clinical Research Coordinator / Study Nurse
to join our research team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the
execution of clinical research trials
, working closely with physicians, patients, and families to ensure studies are conducted safely, ethically, and according to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage all aspects of
clinical research studies
from start-up to close-out.
Screen, recruit, and enroll eligible participants.
Obtain informed consent/assent in compliance with study protocols and ethics requirements.
Perform study-related procedures (vital signs,
phlebotomy
, skin testing, spirometry, etc.) within scope of practice.
Administer investigational products and monitor for adverse reactions.
Collect, record, and maintain accurate source documentation and case report forms.
Ensure adherence to
Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
, study protocols, and regulatory standards.
Serve as the main contact for study participants, sponsors, and monitors.
Coordinate study visits, scheduling, and follow-up in a
timely and organized manner
.
Assist with regulatory submissions, ethics board communications, and sponsor queries.
Maintain study supplies, investigational products, and accurate tracking logs.
Support
quality assurance
processes and internal audits.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in clinical research
is required.
Registered Nurse (RN/RPN) or equivalent clinical background, or a degree/diploma in health sciences, clinical research, or related field.
Phlebotomy experience is an asset.
Knowledge of GCP and research ethics preferred.
Exceptional
organizational, multitasking, and prioritization
skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities; thrives in a
team-oriented
environment.
Comfortable working with children and families in a clinical setting.
Demonstrated ability to work
efficiently
in a fast-paced research environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
