We are a small, design-led studio seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented
Studio Coordinator (Independent Contractor)
to support daily operations, client experience, and production coordination within our atelier.
Role Overview
The Studio Coordinator will provide administrative, operational, and hands-on studio support across multiple areas of the business. This is a
contract-based role
with variable hours (20-40 per week), depending on studio needs and project timelines.
This role is ideal for someone with prior fashion or bridal studio experience who is comfortable working independently, managing multiple responsibilities, and supporting both client-facing and production-related tasks.
Scope of Responsibilities
Administrative & Client Coordination
Manage and respond to studio email correspondence in a timely and professional manner
Coordinate client communications related to appointments, fittings, and orders
Assist with scheduling and confirmation of bridal appointments
Showroom & Client Experience
Prepare and maintain the showroom for bridal appointments and studio visits
Assist during bridal appointments as needed, including styling and client support
Earn a commission on bridal sales directly facilitated by the contractor during appointments
Shipping, Inventory & Logistics
Handle packing and shipping of garments, samples, and materials
Track and maintain inventory records for samples, materials, and finished pieces
Ensure accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing items
Production & Atelier Support
Track production schedules and timelines in coordination with the Production Manager
Assist with production cutting when required
Support sample sewing and basic garment construction as needed, based on skill level
General Studio Operations
Support day-to-day studio operations to maintain an organized, efficient, and professional environment
Assist with additional studio-related tasks as required
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree
Previous experience (minimum 2 years) in a fashion studio, bridal atelier, or apparel production environment
Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
Basic knowledge of garment construction and production processes
Ability to assist with cutting and sample sewing when needed
Comfortable working directly with clients in a bridal setting
Proficiency with email and basic administrative or tracking tools
Ability to stand for extended periods and handle garment bags, boxes, and materials
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Willingness to sign confidentiality and intellectual property agreements
