Position Summary

The University of Regina is seeking a dedicated Graduate Student to actively support the Editor-in-Chief for in education, a peer-reviewed digital journal based in the Faculty of Education. The role will oversee the production process and will include duties integral to the research dissemination process including, coordinating, editing and presenting research findings in a way that enhances their impact and accessibility. The student will be a member of the Editorial Board as such, will be committed to the ongoing quality and reputation of the journal. This position offers a unique opportunity for a graduate student to gain hands-on experience in academic publishing and contribute to the success of this respected journal.
Position Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program at the University of Regina; preference for a doctoral student.
  • Experience in digital design and website management, including knowledge working and publishing in HTML (e.g., Dreamweaver) and experience with online publishing platforms (e.g., OJS)
  • Exceptional command of English language writing and communication.
  • Scholarly editing experience (copy editing, production, publishing), as demonstrated by having served previously in an editorial capacity with another peer-reviewed publication, or equivalent.

The expected time commitment for this role is approximately 20-30 hours per month. The position is initially for one year, with the potential for extension into a second year.
