Position Summary

The successful applicant will provide research support for Phase I of a project that aims to understand how maps are currently used in schooling contexts and questioning how more diverse understandings might be prioritized through countermapping. This is a collaborative project with Dr. Jackson Pind at Trent University.

Duties Include:

\xc2\xb7 Attending research team meetings via Zoom

\xc2\xb7 Literature review and environment scan of countermapping

\xc2\xb7 Scoping review and content analysis of provincial curriculum
Position Requirements

Applicants are required to be a graduate student (preferably in Education) and have experience or interest in:

\xc2\xb7 qualitative research

\xc2\xb7 literature reviews and environment scans

\xc2\xb7 interest in maps and mapping, decolonization, interpretive and/or Indigenous methodologies

\xc2\xb7 working independently and collaboratively

\xc2\xb7 strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
