Student Research Assistant Faculty Of Nursing
Job Description
Under the guidance of the primary investigator, Dr. Margie Burns, assistant professor in the Faculty of Nursing at UPEI, and a Graduate Student Research assistant, the undergraduate Student Research Assistant will be responsible for scholarly activities related to a research project titled \xe2\x80\x9cConnecting Families to Critically Ill Relatives During Interhospital Transfers.\xe2\x80\x9d
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the guidance and mentorship of the primary investigator and the graduate student research assistant, the undergraduate Student Research Assistant will assist with research activities including in-person research meetings, data entry, data transcription, quantitative and qualitative data cleaning, literature searches, report writing, and other duties as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current enrollment in a UPEI undergraduate program and ability to attend in-person research meetings and site visits
- Demonstrated critical thinking ability, initiative, good organizational skills, flexibility, ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to accurately follow instruction and attention to detail are important skills in this position
- Reliable and dependable
- Experience in a health-related field or health-related program of study, strong interpersonal and communication skills are assets
