Student Fundraiser

Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Advancement Specialist, the Student Fundraiser plays a key role in supporting Royal Roads University's fundraising efforts by engaging with donors and prospective donors through phone outreach, while also providing administrative assistance to fundraising appeals and the student fundraiser calling program. This position exists to strengthen donor relationships, grow the university's donor base, and ensure smooth execution of fundraising initiatives through organized record-keeping, communication support, and data tracking. Funds raised will support initiatives at RRU including student success and experiential learning, talent and research, and campus spaces in alignment with RRU'sfundraising appeals. The ideal candidate is a Royal Roads University student or alumni who is motivated by individual and team fundraising goals and will represent RRU to current and prospective donors.


Job Requirements
One year customer service experience Registered Royal Roads University student or alumni Confidently fluent in the English language Available to work evenings and some weekends Comfortable working in a supervised environment Strong oral communicator, quick thinker and sincere listener Creative problem-solver Organized with good time-management skills

This is a casual, on-call position until December 2025. The hourly rate is $26.44. Due to its limited term nature, this position is not eligible for enrolment in the University's Benefits Plan, but you will be provided with 4% in lieu of vacation.
