Calvinho Criminal Defence is hiring an articling student for the 2024/2025 period. We are looking for a student with an interest in criminal law, as the firm focuses solely on criminal defence. Students will have a chance to work on interesting cases with counsel along with the opportunity to attend and assist in court at the Ontario Court of Justice (OCJ) and the Superior Court of Justice (SCJ). This is a very busy practice and there will be an expectation that the successful candidate be able to support senior counsel. This is an in-person position where the successful candidate is expected to work in the office. The office is located in downtown Ottawa within a short walking distance to the Elgin Street Courthouse. This is a paid full-time position.
