Structural Welder Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.

Duties

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding procedures to determine project requirements. Perform structural welding using SMAW, FCAW and GMAW processes. Fit, assemble, and weld structural components in accordance with company and code requirements. Ensure all welds meet quality control and safety standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble and fabricate metal structures. Conduct rigging operations for lifting heavy materials using overhead cranes. Apply basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.

Experience

Journeyman or apprentice welder ticket is preferred. Proficiency in structural welding. Proven experience in welding. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and other welding equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Team-oriented with good communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.00-$43.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 - 58 per week
