Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding structural components used in the construction of commercial buildings. This role requires CWB MCAW/FCAW tickets, blueprint reading, and mechanical skills to ensure high-quality work that meets safety standards and project specifications.

Responsibilities



Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements. Perform welding on structural steel components with precision and consistency. Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment safely and effectively. Use measuring tools to ensure accurate dimensions and tolerances. Rigging materials and coordinate with crane operators for lifting and positioning heavy components. Utilize schematics to assemble structures accurately according to specifications. Perform quality checks on welds and finished products to ensure structural integrity and compliance with standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Skills



Proficiency in MCAW/FCAW welding techniques with demonstrated experience in structural fabrication. Mechanical knowledge related to rigging, assembly, and the use of hand and power tools. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with plasma cutting, oxy fuel torches, and other fabrication equipment. Experience operating cranes, forklifts, or other heavy machinery is preferred. Strong understanding of basic math for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes. Knowledge of manufacturing standards related to construction is advantageous. Ability to work safely with welding equipment, power tools, and heavy machinery in a fast-paced environment. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $30.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
