A-1 Detailing & Engineering Ltd. is looking for a Steel Detailer to join our team in Nackawic, NB! Our team consists of Professional Engineers, Technologists, and Detailers that provide specialized services to the Steel Fabrication Industry. By using some of the most advanced software in the world and only focusing on Detailing and Connection Design, we are able to provide the best service possible and have become leaders in these areas. A few projects we are proud to have detailed are the Grant Harvey Centre, the Upper River Valley Hospital and Stan Cassidy Centre as well as the Avenir Centre!

Roles & Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will start out primarily learning how to operate the 3D modeling software (Tekla Structures) as well as...

Learn how to read contract documents such as Structural Steel Plans, Architectural Plans, Mechanical Plans, Foundation Plans, Project Specifications, and Addenda. Learn how to create and issue RFI's (Requests For Information) Model, detail, and submit small projects using 3D modeling software. Create reports for fabricators such as bolt take-off sheets, material take-off, and assembly shipping size sheets. Create CNC data and DXF files for plates, angles, hss, w-shapes, and more. Record time spent on contract extra's (Additions to original contract). Work necessary overtime in order to meet client deadlines. Requirements: Strong mechanical aptitude Exceptionally organized with strong computer skills Self-motivated and able to follow tasks through with minimal guidance Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work Proficient problem-solving and analytical skills Tekla experience would be an asset Drafting/detailing experience is preferred Experience working in a highly deadline orientated culture would be an asset NBCC Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology is an asset.
