Overview

We are seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Structural Steel Detailer(s) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate(s) will possess extensive experience in creating detailed designs and drawings for various projects, utilizing Tekla Structures. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and quality of design documentation, contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Responsibilities

Develop accurate and detailed 3D models, fabrication drawings, and erection plans using Tekla Structures or similar software. Interpret and apply engineering designs, architectural plans, and client specifications to produce high-quality detailing outputs. Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and shop teams to ensure seamless project execution. Manage and review shop drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and project requirements. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior detailers. Assist the estimating department with material take-offs and project costing support. Resolve technical queries and ensure adherence to project timelines. Collaborate with the team to improve detailing workflows and processes.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience as a structural steel detailer. Proficiency in Tekla Structures. Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication, erection processes, and industry standards. Experience preparing and checking detailed plans shop drawings, bills of material, and other documents for the manufacture and erection of steel members and assemblies. Knowledge of both AISC & CISC standards. Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Experience in material take-offs and an understanding of estimating workflows is an asset. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
