Job purpose
Provide quality assurance oversight to ensure clients Drawing Standards compliance is achieved on all structural construction and as-built drawings. Provide structural technical expertise and leadership relative to facilities drawings.
Duties and responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Draftsman, the Draftsmen / Detailer is responsible for:
Preparing shop drawings for approval & fabrication.
Prepare erection drawing for installation of structural & miscellaneous steelwork.
Check shop & field drawings to ensure drawings are in accordance with project scope, client specifications & all applicable codes & regulations.
Reviewing IFA drawings and BFA.
Creating RFI's, IFA's, IFC's.
Supporting the field with any field items.
Skills and Qualifications
Mandatory experience and qualifications
High level of knowledge of industry standard detailing practices.
Successful completion of steel detailing training from a recognized college or technical school; preferred structural detailing certificate.
At least 5 years' experience in a detailing using Tekla software.
Proficiency in Blue Beam software, MS office & Adobe
Strong attention to details & Proven Experience of Misc. detailing
Self-starter Ability to work alone and meet deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
