Job description: Sr. Specialist, Marketing



The Senior Specialist, Marketing focuses on delivering targeted messaging to appropriate audiences through optimal channel mix for the various pet health insurance brands underwritten by Petline. They will be responsible for assisting in the development and execution of Petline projects lead or supported by the Marketing Team, and rallying internal partners and marketing team members around a consistent brand identity and core values. This role is designed for someone who is passionate about insurance and marketing and has the attention to detail required to interpret complex data and communicate the plan and execution of it. Indeed, having pet's health at heart is key!


What can you expect in this role?



Collaborate with marketing leaders on the planning and implementation of direct-to-consumer marketing efforts, for various brands underwritten by Petline and across a complex multi-channel set up. Act as primary point of contact for all marketing tactics required for acquiring, supporting, and retaining pet health insurance customers. Oversee the process for delivering and measuring the success of marketing tactics from briefing to reporting, making sure we deliver high performing assets within the deadlines. Lead collaboration efforts with the Marketing Performance, Operations, Technology and Communications Teams, to meet program launch delivery dates while optimizing and reporting on success of the initiative as it relates to marketing efforts (performance, content, creative). Research and maintain a deep understanding of market trends and comparable industry programs. Work with marketing leadership to provide insight on best message and the associated performance in each channel for each campaign. Initiate research and consumer insights/studies with the business insights team and share with cross functional stakeholders any competitive analysis as it relates to pet insurance industry. Communicate frequently as a subject matter expert to the Marketing & Segmentation Team on insurance products and services (whether as part of Petline or industry in general). Collaborate with Operation Team and the Performance Marketing Team on reporting that cross-references multi-channel campaigns, website visits, quotes and binds to outline marketing tactic effectiveness for Direct-to-consumer activities. Utilize existing reporting tools and team expertise to gather and analyze the data efficiently. Set SMART goals, evaluate the performance with relevant KPIs, and provide fact-based recommendations to drive performance effectiveness and best ROI. Present Petline results and post-mortems to the Marketing Team when required. Act with leadership as a positive agent of change and a motivator on-site. Encourage high performance and mobilization in every interaction with the Petline Team and other business units we collaborate with. Mentor the junior team members on project management skills and relationship building with stakeholders.

What do you bring to the role?



5+ years of marketing and project management experience Strong leadership skills Well versed in insurance products and pet health industry in general Ability to balance quick timing while still ensuring quality of work Hustle is essential, moving quickly and executing to allow for continual iteration is a core competency of our team Excellent communication and presentation skills with a collaborative mindset Naturally curious, eager to explore new ideas, tools, and approaches to problem-solving Passion for connecting with consumers Bilingualism preferred
High degree of proficiency with English required to service customers, both internal to the company and external, across Canada.


Salary Range: $69,000 - $127,000

Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may participate in various incentive plans which are paid out at the discretion of the company and subject to individual and company performance.
