Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Technology Vendor Management to build strategic partnerships, technology vendor selection and supplier performance management. The Senior Manager will be responsible for driving vendor selection, contract negotiations, vendor performance management, and ensuring alignment with the organization\'s strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess excellent negotiation and communication skills, along with a deep understanding of technology solutions and vendor management best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Strategy and Selection:

  • Develop and execute the organization\'s technology vendor strategy, considering the company\'s objectives and technology roadmap.
  • Identify and evaluate potential technology vendors, conducting thorough assessments to determine their suitability for the organization\'s needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and procurement, to establish selection criteria and evaluate vendor proposals.
Contract Negotiations and Management:
  • Lead contract negotiations with technology vendors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that align with the organization\'s requirements.
  • Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to review and finalize contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal standards.
  • Monitor and track vendor performance against contractual obligations, taking necessary actions to address any deviations or issues.
Vendor Performance Management:
  • Develop and implement a robust vendor performance management framework to assess and monitor vendor performance, quality, and service levels.
  • Conduct regular vendor performance reviews, fostering strong relationships and ensuring vendors meet or exceed agreed-upon performance metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation within vendor relationships, driving efficiency and cost optimization.
Relationship Management and Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technology vendors, building and maintaining strong relationships based on trust and collaboration.
  • Engage and align with internal stakeholders, such as IT teams, business units, and senior management, to understand technology requirements and ensure vendor solutions meet business needs.
  • Effectively communicate vendor performance, contract terms, and any relevant updates to key stakeholders, providing transparency and insights.
Risk Management and Compliance:
  • Identify and mitigate vendor-related risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address contractual, privacy, security, and data protection concerns.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact vendor relationships and overall technology strategy.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management) is required. Advanced degree or certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience in technology vendor management or procurement, preferably in a senior management role, including sourcing, vendor selection, contract management and risk assessment.
  • Strong knowledge of technology solutions, including software, hardware, cloud services, and emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract negotiations, vendor performance management, and relationship building.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results and continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks related to technology vendor management.
  • Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently and deliver within deadlines.
