Global Financial Firm located in MISSISSAUGA, ON has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Application Developer - Java

"This role is currently on a Hybrid Schedule.
You will need to have reliable internet, computer and android or iphone for remote access into the client systems during remote work.
We will be expected in the office weekly 2-3 days depending on the team requirement.

The position is within BCMA Technology, and we are seeking a hands-on Developer with good hands-on experience in application development in Java.
Candidate must have experience in supporting enterprise application using Java &Spring.
Candidate will be working on fast-paced, highly visible, and challenging projects. Candidate is expected to be a self-starter and someone who loves technology in general and excels when challenged

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for systems analysis, Design, Coding, Unit Testing and other SDLC activities
• Requirement gathering & understanding, Analyze and convert functional requirements into concrete technical tasks and able to provide reasonable effort estimates
• Directly impacts the business by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others; works closely with other teams as partner
• Work proactively, independently and with global teams to address project requirements, and articulate issues/challenges with enough lead time to address project delivery risks
• Providing expertise in technical analysis and solving technical issues during project delivery
• Code reviews, exposure to continuous integration, test case reviews and ensure code developed meets the requirements
• Provide L3 support
• Demonstrate ownership and initiative taking

• Bachelor\'s degree /B.Tech/M.E/ M.Tech (in computers, information technology or engineering) / MCA
• 5 to 8 Years of strong experience in Core Java, OOPS and Multithreading
• Candidate should be willing to work extended hours in order to interact with global partners/teams or as per project demand.
• Must have good knowledge and understanding in JAVA/J2EE spring boot, spring framework stack
• Must have good understanding of Microservice and Microservices best practices, patterns- Springboot microservices is highly preferred
• Must have experience in SCMs like GIT, and tools like JIRA
• Good understanding of AppDynamics, ELK stack
• Agile/Scrum methodology experience is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, should be able to communicate effectively with business and other stakeholders
• Preferred Hands-on MongoDB and OraaS knowledge / experience
• Preferred Knowledge on UI frameworks: Angular JS
