Specific Responsibilities

  • Intermediary with the Business Unit (BU) and Enterprise and with regional members (ROC)
  • Manage and build the relationships with a set of regional member representatives by province
  • Enact and evolve a co-governance structure with a regional set of member reps
  • Execute a reasonable concierge-like level of service / engagement
  • Facilitate and build regular meeting and any other specific meeting cadences with members, the advisory council, and/or BUs / Enterprise groups
  • Meet 1-1 with the member reps and members
  • Assist and communicate with key leaders across the BU and enterprise regarding key programs, initiatives, deliverables, follow-ups, and overall strategy
  • Convey the messages of the member reps and likewise of the BU / Enterprise
  • Communicate tough messages from the BU’s/Enterprise and with the member reps and can have the ability to tell the true stories and reflections put forth
  • Enable and drive engagement and advocacy from both the member reps and the BUs / Enterprise
  • Obtain constant / continuous feedback – synthesis and provide reports to both the member reps and BUs / Enterprise
  • Manage healthy tension and convey clear messages
  • Identify regional member needs for advocacy
  • Identify and manage regional/provincial association and/or government relationships based on the needs of the members
  • Advocate at the provincial association and government levels for the membership and the McKesson enterprise in conjunction and connected with the McKesson Government Affairs team

Key Requirements
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field, (MBA an asset)
  • 5-7+ years of experience in a related domain
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Project management and governance skills
  • Ability to build high levels of trust
  • Demonstrate a genuine approach
  • Nimble and agile business mind and ability to think creatively
  • Ability to inspire trust and build strong relationships
  • Ability to diffuse tension between multiple groups/stakeholders
  • Passion for the end customer and patient and drive to improve health care across all settings
  • Ability to travel frequently to meet with members, council members, BU’s and/or Enterprise colleagues, and provincial associations and governments
  • Pharmacy Degree is an asset
