As a Sr. Business Analyst, you will be a key player in developing and delivering business performance information in support of our growth strategy. Success will be achieved by working closely with voice operations team, mandated services product managers, and the TPS leadership team in support of the wholesale division of TELUS.
You must use your analytical skill set and tools to dive deep into costs and the business drivers influencing those results. You must also have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to portray your findings so they can be used in presenting material which will result in evolving business decisions. You are expected to understand or learn to use TELUS' various billing systems and reporting databases. Additionally, you will be required to comprehend the operational drivers of the financials to ensure we influence the financial outcome Partner Solutions is contributing to TELUS.
The successful candidate will take initiative to understand the business, be a strong analytical contributor and apply their project management skills to investigate and explain business performance.

Responsibilities

? Maintain a strong understanding of TELUS applications, product and services, organizational delivery capabilities, and TELUS end-to-end processes. Additionally, maintains awareness of industry trends and technology available that would, if implemented, result in operational or efficiency improvements to current processes.
? Develop and deliver business performance information in support of commercial engagements with strategic partners of TELUS.
? Identify, track and deliver revenue and cost assurance opportunities.
? Support the team in contract negotiations with suppliers or customers through data gathering and analysis supporting decision making.
? Take ownership for large process-focused projects from concept to execution. Lead and facilitate meetings and working sessions with cross-functional stakeholders in order to achieve desired outcomes.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge:

  • In depth knowledge of the telecommunications industry, specifically:
  • Voice transit and termination, domestically and internationally including the networking technologies in use
  • Mandated voice service products, markets, pricing, and technology trends
  • Regulatory requirements which influence rates and the markets they support
  • Knowledge of business analysis methodologies, financial reporting and business KPI statistics
  • An understanding of TELUS' product services set
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to plan, coordinate and bring to closure a significant number of initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability to meet important month-end reporting/variance explanation and triage processes
  • Passion for excellence, strong work ethic and solutions-oriented
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing environment - comfortable with managing ambiguity
  • Ability to interact with all levels of TELUS Team members to enable you to obtain support for, and contributions to pre-sales and post sales customer issue resolution
  • Display a high degree of integrity in handling confidential information
Experience, Required Skills & Abilities
  • University education in Business, Commerce or Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 7 to 10 years of related experience in IT/Telecommunications industry
  • Knowledge of the Telecommunication regulatory, industry dynamics, and wholesale environment
  • Technical/systems knowledge in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
