Summary The Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting will report to the Corporate Controller.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare external financial statements on a quarterly and annual basis and be the first point of contact for the external auditors;
  • Lead IFRS standards implementation, complex accounting issues analysis and internal control process updates;
  • Assist with the preparation of legal entity financial statements for Canadian, US and International subsidiaries;
  • Ensuring reporting compliance with IFRS or local GAAP where relevant;
  • Working with other corporate groups to provide financial information as required;
  • Participating in corporate accounting decision making;
  • Preparing financial and management information to senior management; and,
  • Various other duties as required.

Knowledge & Skills Be the first point of contact for the external auditors; Assist the corporate accounting team with accounting research, quarter-end/ year-end external reporting; Ability to work under pressure, resolve problems and make decisions quickly and effectively; The position requires the individual to be detail oriented, have excellent communication skills and be highly analytical; The ability to work within tight reporting deadlines; and, A solid understanding of IFRS is a must.
Education A Certified public accounting (CPA) designation with a minimum of five years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in large public accounting firm.
Experience Experience with consolidations is a must; and, Experienced in public company reporting, securities filings and, SAP/BPC an asset.
